Microblading After Care
For the first 5-7 days it is very important to keep the Brow area as clean and dry as possible. With a clean cotton pad and water, gently wipe your eyebrows before applying ointment.. Allow to air dry completely. Your hands should be completely clean when near the eyebrow and always apply post care ointment with a cotton swab.. This is usually done once at night sparingly. Allow the skin to breathe and heal. The ointment should be applied until day 7.
14 days post microblading procedure
•Avoid heavy sweating: exercise, hot yoga, sauna,
•Avoid water sports: swimming, jacuzzi, surfing
•Avoid Tanning beds, laying out in the sun
•Laser or chemical treatments, chemical peels and/ or any products containing Glycolic Acid, Retinol/Retin-A
•excessive alcohol may lead to slow healing
•Avoid touching, picking, peeling or scratching of the Brow to avoid loss of pigment
When showering avoid putting face under shower head. Always cleanse face carefully around the eyebrow area.
The whole healing process will take 4-6 weeks and goes through a few healing phases. The color will darken the next day, this is normal. Depending on how quickly your skin regenerates will determine how much they will lighten during this healing phase. It is very normal for hair strokes to disappear or lighten, resulting in uneven eyebrows. This is very normal and the reason why most clients need a touch up after 6 weeks.
Once it is completely healed you can apply sunscreen so the sun does not fade them. Sun exposure may cause pigment to fade at a faster rate. Liquid foundation put on top of the healed eyebrows will make them appear lighter.
